Kosirina (Murter)

Kosirina (Murter)

In this bay, the largest on the south side of Murter, you will find about twenty mooring buoys. Some crews from the marinas in nearby Murter and Betina come here for a swim, while others drop anchor and spend the night here. However, you will not enjoy the usual peace of island anchorages unless you come at the very beginning or end of the season, because there is a large campsite on the shore, which is always bristling with bathers, tents and caravans. Anchor in the middle of Kosirina Bay, at a depth of between 8 and 10 metres, or by the little winding point in the southwest section of the bay, at a depth of 4 metres. The bed is sandy and silty, partially covered in sea grass. The bay is sheltered from all winds except the jugo, and the little island of Tužbina guards its entrance.
