Sailing from Badija towards Lumbarda, we reach the pretty bay of Bufalo, the first where anchoring is possible. It is sheltered from all winds and the sandy bed is between 5 and 6 metres deep. I do not like this bay myself, because the shores are rather built up, and there is a road right next to the sea. So I prefer to continue to Pržina, on the south shore of the island. Although Pržina is the beach for nearby Lumbarda, and is probably the most popular bathing spot on the island, it is also of interest to sailors. The beach is reddish-yellow, and above it are the famous Greek vineyards, in the southwest section. Sailors tend to anchor at a depth of between 5 and 6 metres to enjoy a swim. If there is no S or SW wind, to which the bay is exposed, you can also spend the night here, the best spot being in the lee of Ražnjić Point. It is rather shallow by the beach, so stop a few hundred metres in front of it. The bed is sandy, partially covered in sea grass, and the water is clear and unpolluted. Of course, in the evening you can take the dinghy to the beach, walk to Lumbarda, or have a meal at Zura’s. Even if you only spend one day here, you should take the sandy footpath which leads through the vineyards.
