This large, important sailing destination is better known for its marina and Črvar Porat tourist village than as an anchorage. The marina was one of the first to be built on the Croatian coast. Although it is exposed to W winds, you can find shelter in the SE arm, Sveta Marina Cove. In other winds, you can anchor anywhere in the bay, apart from the areas occupied by shellfish farms. Depths are up to 15 metres and the silty and sandy bed provides good purchase. At the base of the bay, there are several options, from the typical hotel marina in Črvar Porat, to the fishing village in Sveta Marina Cove. I prefer the latter. It is worth going there by dinghy to buy shellfish and perhaps the fishermen will have some of their catch on sale, so you can prepare a fish lunch or dinner. As you sail in, mind Civran shallows and Veliki and Mali Školj, SW and W of the entrance. They are clearly marked.
