Hiljača Harbour is a more popular anchorage than Žut Harbour. Perhaps this is because there is no marina, so there is no choice other than to drop anchor. Hiljača has three little coves, Sabuni, Dragišina and Pristanišće. They are protected to the north by the long peninsula of Maslinovica, and to the east by the little islands of Gustac, Velika and Mala Bisaga. The whole area is well sheltered from N, W and S winds, but exposed to E winds, so is not the best choice during the bura. It is best to drop anchor in Sabuni at a depth of between 10 and 15 metres, in the sandy bed, which provides good purchase. Even simpler, use the buoys fixed here by Seksi Žmara, the owner of the inn. There are several buoys anchored in front of Vison tavern in Dragišina, and you can also anchor in front of this cove. Only Pristanišće has neither a tavern nor buoys, but it does have donkeys, which last time I was there I discovered dozing on a terrace in front of a holiday cottage, whose occupants were clearly not at home.
