Punta Križa

Punta Križa

Jadrišćica, Punta križa

This is the easternmost cove on the island of Cres, running deep into the land. Seldom there is crowd. Staying overnight can be idyllic, with a view on a small church at the end of the cove. It can only be reached by shallow-draught boats for the last hundred odd metres get shallower and shallower. The northeast side of the cove accommodates a few eye-pleasing holiday retreats whereas the side of Pogana is more populated and has a tiny stone pier with a breakwater. The northeast side starts with a nudist camp. Even though the cove looks to the south, not until jugo grows strong does it get rough in the Pogana half and toward the more recessed parts of the cove.
