Another island bay which is a very pleasant spot for a private swim, completely sheltered from the maestral and bura. The wooded island of Školjić sits right in front of the bay, and provides some protection from the jugo, if it is not too strong, along with the isthmus of reefs, visible at low tide, which joins Školjić to Iž. There is swell in the bay when the jugo is blowing. The steep shores of the bay are covered in undergrowth and thick evergreen woods. There is an old fishing warehouse on the north shore, with a small pier made of heaped up stones. The bed is sandy, mostly covered in sea grass. The depth at the entrance to the bay is around 10 metres, reducing to about half that in the middle of the bay. You can also anchor on the south side of the isthmus. The depth is 15 metres just below the island, reducing to 4 metres towards the base of the bay. The bed is sandy. If you decide to anchor below Školjić, tie up stern to shore. There are two more islands, slightly further out. Half a mile northeast is Temešnjak, and just over a mile east is Mrtovnjak, with a lighthouse. It is about a mile and half from the bay to the southernmost tip of the island.
